Current high school sophomores, juniors and seniors eager to challenge themselves and jump-start their undergraduate degree can take college-level courses from Ë®¹ûÅÉ faculty at a reduced rate, drastically lessening the time and cost of a degree. Credits apply to a bachelor’s degree at Ë®¹ûÅÉ in any of our 30+ majors, and are transferable to other four-year institutions.
Start college on the right foot — and miles ahead — with as many as 33 credit hours to your name. Dual-credit classes are taught online by Ë®¹ûÅÉ faculty. And when combined with Ë®¹ûÅÉ’s liberal arts approach, will push you to think critically and creatively, communicate effectively and navigate complex topics. Complete up to 33 credit hours of general requirements that can be applied toward any bachelor’s degree at Ë®¹ûÅÉ. Get a taste of the immersive liberal arts education synonymous with Ë®¹ûÅÉ as you take courses focused on foundational areas of knowledge:

Ë®¹ûÅÉ has a reputation of being one of the best educator preparatory programs and is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation.
The Education pathway prepares future teachers and educators with the skills, resources and confidence to lead a classroom or school. Dual-Credit Program students enrolled in this pathway will earn credit toward their bachelor’s degree in early or secondary education.
Students enrolled in the Education pathway are also encouraged to take courses in the Ë®¹ûÅÉ Core pathway to complement their education courses.
Are you interested in a career in Exercise Science? Exercise Science is the study of movement and the associated functional responses and adaptations. A degree in Exercise Science can lead to a career in Personal Training, Corporate Wellness, Strength and Conditioning, or preparation to be admitted into a pre-professional graduate program in Athletic Training, Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy.
You can begin exploring your major and career through the Exercise Science pathway.
Why do stories matter? The answer to this question is where your individual passion meets your professional goals. Our interdisciplinary program will prepare you for careers in medicine, healthcare, law, film and media, writing and publishing, communications, marketing, data analytics, education, and much more. You will develop a blend of life skills and professional credentials, thanks to innovative courses like Narrative Medicine and Environmental Literature and opportunities to showcase your talents with The New Xanadu, the new multimedia platform for students in our program.
Our dual-credit pathway opens the door to endless possibilities. It gives you a head start on crafting the stories that matter to you, including the stories of who you want to become and how soon. Graduate in three years or less, or take your time and combine your English major with other credentials and experiences on campus. Either way, the English Department at Ë®¹ûÅÉ has the path for you, whatever you care about and wherever you want to go.
